As I promised, I am going to talk about goal setting for a while. We all have heard the studies and read the reports - goal setters Succeed! This is because their dreams and goals have created a passion in their lives, that moves them into daily, weekly, monthly & yearly action, that creates accomplishment. Goals create balance, priorities, and life-enhancement. Goals are exciting because they provide focus and aim for our lives. They cause us to stretch and grow in ways we never have before. In order to become better, we must change and grow!

There are 3 components to a goal. It must be inspiring. It must be believable, and it must be one you can act on. Only when all 3 components exist, will you accomplish them.

Quote:
"All things are created twice. There's a mental or first creation, and a physical or second creation of all things. You have to make sure that the blueprint, the first creation, is really what you want, that you've thought everything through. Then you put it into bricks and mortar. Each day you go to the construction shed and pull out the blueprint to get marching orders for the day. You begin with the end in mind."
- Stephen Covey

Essential Rules For Effective Email Marketing
Copyright © Ann Williamson

http://awilliamson.cashflow123.com

Are you one of those people who has trouble effectively email marketing? If you answered yes, this is a must read for you. Listed below are some basic revolutionary lessons in email marketing. I hope you are looking forward to uncovering the secrets.

Now I know what you are thinking: basics do not sound very exciting or "empowering." But these basics are the foundation upon which everything else is built. Miss these and you may end up spinning your wheels for the next 12 months. After all, would you not rather be spinning stories about how you made your first million?

If you want an email campaign to succeed, you do not want to offend anyone when sending your messages. Turn off a consumer with your email and you can be sure they will tune out your message. Do not let this happen to you!

A message that earns respect makes sales. That is why our first topic for discussion is email etiquette. Train yourself to always -- and I mean ALWAYS -- stick to the rules below when crafting your email message.

Rule #1 - Always Wrap Your Lines At 65 Characters Or Less Whenever you write an email, always format the lines so that they are 65 characters, or less, across. To do this, you may need to do a hard return by hitting Enter at the end of the line. Wondering why to limit your lines to just 65 characters? (Good question! It shows you are thinking.) There are two reasons that less is more.

The first thing to remember is that looking at a computer screen for a long time causes eye fatigue for many readers. The shorter span of characters across the screen makes
reading easier and more appealing to the recipient of your email message. The other reason to go short instead of long is this: some email clients automatically enforce line-wrapping at 60-65 characters on received messages. If your email is wrapped at 70, the content will arrive all chopped up. This makes it unattractive...and worse -- unappealing.

-- Tip within a Rule #1: Email clients such as Outlook Express allow you to set the line-wrap to any character-width you choose. That means you will not have to hit Enter each time after typing 65 characters. Makes life easier!
-- Tip within a Rule #2 - You can type 65 asterisks or dashes in a Notepad file to create a template. Then paste your email below it to see if any lines extend too far to the right.

Rule # 2 - BE CAREFUL USING ALL CAPS

How many times have you changed the TV channel to avoid listening to a screaming car salesperson? No one likes a screaming salesperson...and no one likes a "screaming" email
message, either. Odds are, when someone has over-amped the volume of their message by using too many capital letters (not to mention too many exclamation points and other
punctuation) – you are going to be turned off. On the Internet, email messages written in all caps are considered yelling. It is okay to write some sentences and some words in all caps, but do not go overboard.
-- Tip within a Rule: Consumers buy from a source they trust. Emails in all caps are perceived as shady or uneducated, and have an appearance that damages the credibility of an offer.

Rule #3 - Watch Your Ps & Qs (Spelling and Grammar)

Would you be influenced by an email selling you something that had noticeable spelling and grammar mistakes? Sure you would...and the influence would be negative, not positive! When a consumer reads a sales message that is filled with errors, they think to themselves, Good grief, this person doesn`t even take the time to get his emails right. His product is probably the same quality as his emails.
When you are in business, your image is your reputation and your reputation is the reason people buy from you or the guy down the block. It is essential that you create an image of Integrity, Credibility, and Honesty in the mind of your prospects. Sending emails filled with errors does not hurt your professional image...it destroys it. (Ouch!)
Knowing how to effectively email market is essential for any business owner whether you have a small home based business or are the head of a multi million dollar company. This powerful and here to stay way of marketing can increase your sales and credibility, if you know these basic rules.

Avoiding Home Business Scams
Copyright © Ann Williamson

http://www.payitforward4profits.com/awilliamson

How many times have you heard about a great home business opportunity? Probably more than you care to remember. At the same time, how many of these home business opportunities ended up being a scam? Again, probably quite a few. Hopefully, you were never the victim of any of these scams, but unfortunately, there are others who probably fell for these “opportunities.” The fact of the matter is that these scammers would not be wasting their time if they were not making them any money. As long as people continue to get seek out home business opportunities, these scammers are going to stick around to trick more and more people.

The best way to avoid a home business scam is to thoroughly research each opportunity before you move forward with it and invest your time and or money. This means doing much more than simply reading a bit about it online. You may get lucky and end up with a good home business opportunity, but chances are that you will not. Not only will you want to read what is available on the site itself, but you will also want to search for other information as well. Check with third party review sites and on message boards and forums. You may find out soon enough that a certain company has been reported as being nothing more than a scam.

You may also want to check with the Better Business Bureau if you are thinking about getting involved with a home business opportunity, particularly one that you are not sure of. They will be able to tell you if they have any complaints on file. If they do, you will want to investigate a little further. Check to see how they handled the complaint. Was it taken care of right away, any further complaints? Depending on what you find, you may want to avoid the opportunity at all costs. But if it appears that a company is doing business the right way, you can continue your research.

Before you decide to do anything, attempt to get in touch with the company that you are interested in. Can you get them on the phone? Do they respond to your emails? If you cannot even talk to a company before you start, there is not much of a chance that they will be around when you need them. This is one test that you can run early on in order to ensure that you are dealing with a reputable company. If you do happen to get an employee on the phone, ask them questions in order to get some feedback on the company. Anything that will give you better insight into the home business opportunity is a good question.

Overall, home business scams are all over the place. Do your part in putting them out on the street by not falling prey. The best way to do this is through extensive research and questioning.

"The Network Marketing company you choose to represent is your vehicle. If you've gotten a good one, you should be able to hop in, turn the key and drive off in your new business vehicle down the highway of success. So when you go looking for the right opportunity, use the same caution that you'd use when you're buying a car." Robert Butwin

http://www.payitforward4profits.com/awilliamson

As you're picking the right vehicle to get you to your future destination, look for one that's FUN and SAFE, as well as dependable. There are basically two categories of vehicles.

1.Direct Sales Companies
These are known as "seller-based" because they give more income to the distributor for a retail sale. The products are usually higher-ticket, one-time sale items, like air or water filters, high-priced memberships, automotive products, and so forth. These sales are handled by SALESPEOPLE, and those who are skilled and ambitious can make good money from substantial upfront commissions. However, you may need to make a considerable investment in inventory, and the likelihood of finding people to join you in this type of product line is low. Additionally, there is little or no actual residual income from these direct sales companies.

2.Multi-Level Companies
These companies typically offer reasonably priced products that people consume and reorder. A distributor typically earns less money up-front with these consumable products, but the long-term potential of reorders year after year can be substantial. These companies are also easier to recruit new people to than direct sales for several reasons.

It costs a nominal amount (usually a few hundred dollars or less) to get involved.
Residual income is one important goal and attractive result of this approach to marketing.

Individuals benefit from a bigger picture, put in place by many people, each doing a little bit of work. The work is distribution, as opposed to "hard selling," which many people would rather not do. The process is often called "networking" because distributors share ideas and products to a "network" of people.

Here's a checklist that will help you choose the best vehicle for you.

1.What is the product or service?
You'll be talking about it extensively, so you need to be proud and excited to tell the story. You'll also need to be a "product of your product," which means you use it in your daily life and understand it first hand.
2.Does it have integrity?
Check out the company, people and products. Do they do what they say? Without their integrity behind you, you will not be successful.
3.Is the company "Distributor-Driven?"
In other words, does it function for the benefit of the people who distribute its products? Distributors are the profit centers of a direct selling or network marketing company. They should be fairly paid and have access to fairly priced marketing tools. Perhaps most vital to the success of the distributor and the company, however, is that ongoing training and effective distributor services be in place. Check out your prospective company with these things in mind, both for the short-term new person, and the long-term association.
4. Does it have good management?
As in any business, excellent management can mean the difference between success and failure. Do they understand their product?
Do they know how to run a company?
Do they have network marketing backgrounds?
4.Does it have a duplicable business system?
Most companies leave this up to the distributors - allowing them the "freedom" to do their own thing. A few companies consider this irresponsible at best and a recipe for failure on average. Look for a company that publishes a video or booklet describing the steps you'll need to take to be successful. This is a company that recognizes that your success is their success, and they're doing something to ensure it.
5.Does it have a fair, just and JUICY Compensation Plan?
It would be wise for you to find a mentor who can help you determine whether the compensation plan is a good and balanced one. Here are a few pitfalls to avoid.
Some plans can take away people that you have brought in.
Some plans are top-heavy; they reward people who are already earning the most, or who have been in the longest, at the expense of the new people.
Some companies change their plans often. This is disruptive and usually not in the best interest of distributors.
Some companies have challenges as they grow. Learning from these challenges is great, but some companies never learn.
Some companies lead people on with rewards like cruises and prizes. Look for companies that reward with compensation - that you can use as you choose!
Some companies make wild claims about the big money you can make quickly. Don't buy it!

Network marketing grows on the basis of multiplication, as opposed to traditional businesses that grow based on addition. You will find people who will find people (multiply) by doing the same things you do. Once you have established a few good people in your downline, you will be able to support their efforts to multiply. You WON'T go out and find one, and then another, and then try to keep the first one going while you find another, and so forth. Although valuable organizations may have tens and hundreds of thousands of people in them, your job will be to find only a few - and then a few more.

"Find those people who see the big picture, people who want to take control of their life and work; that's what Network Marketing is."
Robert Butwin

The Plan

All good things in life are upstream, but the natural flow of life is that downward, negative pull. To combat that downward pull, you need a plan, a map to help you reach your desired destination.

10 Amazing Ways To Jump Start Your Sales
Copyright © Ann Williamson

http://www.payitforward4profits.com/awilliamson

Would you like to make money online, but don't know
where to begin? Here's 3 easy steps that really work:

1. Find a strategic business partner. Look for ones
that have the same objective. You can trade leads,
share marketing info, sell package deals, etc.

2. Brand your name and business. You can easily
do this by just writing articles and submitting them
to e-zines or web sites for republishing.

3. Start an auction on your web site. The type of
auction could be related to the theme of your site.
You'll draw traffic from auctioneers and bidders.

4. Remember to take a little time out of your day
or week to brainstorm. New ideas are usually the
difference between success and failure.

5. Model other successful business or people. I'm
not saying out right copy them, but practice some
of the same habits that have made them succeed.

6. Take risks to improve your business. Sometimes
businesses don't want to advertise unless it's free,
sometimes you have to spend money to get results.

7. Include emotional words in your advertisements.
Use ones like love, security, relief, freedom, happy,
satisfaction, fun, etc.

8. Ask people online to review your web site. You
can use the comments you get to improve your web
site or you may turn the reviewer into a customer.

9. Out source part of your workload. You'll save
on most employee costs. You could out source
your secretarial work, accounting, marketing, etc.

10. Combine a product and service together in a
package deal. It could increase your sales. If you're
selling a book, offer an hour of consulting with it.

Quote of the Day:

"Nine-tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find somebody's
hand and squeeze it, while there's time." -- Dale Dauten

It really works!
